Information for Poster, Oral and Flash Talk
If you are part of the programme and will be giving an oral presentation or flash talk, you can search for your name in the programme in the app to see when you are scheduled to present.
Plenary presentations: 40 minutes including questions
Keynote presentation: 30 min including questions
Oral presentation: 20 min including questions
Flash talk, 1 min, ONE slide without animations. Name, abstract number and title will be shown before your slide.
To ensure a smooth and professional experience during your session, please note the following important information regarding your presentation:
- A dedicated presentation computer will be available in the lecture hall. To avoid technical issues, we kindly recommend that you do not use your own laptop.
- A technician will be present in the hall and assist you when it is time for your presentation.
- Presentations should be prepared in PowerPoint format (16:9 aspect ratio).
- We kindly ask you to submit your presentation well in advance. Deliver your presentation to the technician in Room ”Gjuteriet 33", no later than 2 hours before your session starts.
- The technician will check that your presentation runs correctly on the presentation computer.

Please name your file using the following format:
Day.Time.LastName (use dots between each part)
Example: Wednesday.09.10.Svensson
Finally, building on the tradition established last year in Oulu, we would like to draw your attention to the theme of the EUROMAR 2026 conference: “The Sea.”
We would appreciate it if you could consider alluding to this theme in the introduction to your presentation, where appropriate. We believe that connecting your work to this broader theme will help highlight the spirit and continuity of the conference.

Posters
There will be two separate poster sessions: one for odd-numbered posters and one for even-numbered posters. Your poster number is clearly stated in front of the title of your abstract.
Poster size: 90 cm × 120 cm (portrait/standing format)
Poster mounting materials will be available on-site.

Flash Talk
The flash presentation format is a great way to promote your poster with a short talk. Due to the strict time constraints your presentation must be a single slide without animations and 1 minute in length. Your slide should not be a copy of your poster (avoid font size smaller than point 14 and focus the audience's attention on selected highlights from your work). Instead of questions after the talk, delegates will be encouraged to join you at your poster (so don't forget to tell the audience your poster number and when you will be at your poster). The strict time limit means there will be a buzzer when your 1 minute is up and the chair will ask you to leave the podium.
Ahead of the plenary session which is followed by your flash talk session, please introduce yourself to your flash presentation session chair. When the main session speakers have finished, all flash presenters in the session will be invited to stand in presenter order at the side of the podium. You will be introduced (name and place of study) by the flash presentation session chair when it is your turn to present and you then have a minute to present your slide before the chair will ask you to leave the podium and introduce the next presenter.
We kindly ask you to upload your single flash talk powerpoint (not keynote.app) slide in 16:9 format, without animations, named according to Flash.1.# (replace # with your order number listed above) , before latest Saturday evening this week (June 27th) to the following dropbox:
